A bit about me
I am originally from Hong Kong and I moved to the UK in 2019 at the age of 16 for my sixth-form education. Currently I am studying at Lancaster University and am a final year student with the intention of finding a tech job in the UK. I am interested in all things tech related and currently I am most curious about the world of cyber-security and am currently doing the Jr Pentesting pathway on tryhackme. I enjoy creating and programming things that people are able to use in different settings. Using cutting-edge technologies and open-source software I am able to develop projects and build user-friendly tools and applications. Here is a run-down on all the technologies that I have used and still use curently. However, my tech-stack is ever expanding and I am willing to learn any technology to accomplish a goal.

Assistant Teacher
Actively participated in a summer program that supports teachers at an educational centre in delivering a STEM summer course for primary school children. My primary responsibilities involved guiding children in fundamental subjects such as mathematics, English, and critical thinking. Additionally, I played a crucial role in assisting children with their project work, fostering their development within the STEM curriculum

Genetic Algorithm Pathfinding
Engineered an efficient pathfinding solution in MATLAB, while dynamically avoiding obstacles using a ge-netic algorithm. Skillfully implemented selection, crossover, and mutation strategies in the genetic algo-rithm, integrating penalty functions for obstacle avoidance.

Created an E-commerce website using React.js while fetching data from an API and dynamically displaying the data on the front-end

Automatic grading from mammogram images
My Bachelor's thesis explored automated breast cancer diagnosis using machine learning and computer vision, employing methods like FRCNN and VGG. This project deepened my interest in AI and familiarized me with Python libraries like NumPy and Pandas for results analysis.
Computer Science Blog
This project is a responsive blog application built with React and Firebase. It features a user-friendly interface with dark/light mode, rich text editing, and full CRUD operations for blog posts. The app demonstrates proficient front-end development and efficient backend integration, creating a robust platform for content management and serves as a way to express my interests in computer science, software engineerng and AI/ML.
